I am very new to Ant Keeping. My first queen is a camponotus pennsylvanicus and I’m having issues finding and identifying other queens as they all seem much smaller than my first queen. Found in Minnesota, USA. Sorry for not having measurements. I’m hoping a clear picture will help with identifying.
Is this a queen? If so, what is she?

If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

Wow! Thank you for the help in both identifying and explaining what a social parasite is. Thanks so much.
