Swedish ants for ID
My colonies have woken up here in Sweden and some looks good after the hibernation. Any ID for this first colony? Probably caught in august or possibly late july.

All of these are Lasius, but this genus requires a fair deal of magnification to identify properly. We can rule out Lasius alienus and L. brunneus by the erect hairs on the antennal scapes.
I'm not privy to the taxonomy of L. flavus group Lasius, but they are very difficult to ID in North America.

The darker Lasius look to be either Lasius niger or L. platythorax. Lasius flavus appears to be the only likely possibility for the yellow species.

Thanks!
I have gotten niger and flavus from others so I guess that is a high probability.
