I found a queen ant in Sly Park, California under a rock in a wood filled habitat. The queen is approximately 6 mm. in length.

looks like myrmica sp. or tetramorium sp. but thats just from a glance ill try to get an accurate id later

hmm i'm leaning towards the tetramorium but both genus's don't have pointed gastors

I did a little looking and I think it might be a Tetramorium caespitum queen.
