I think i ve caught a camponotus pennsylvannicus queen and because of the loe quality picture just confirm it please

I was lucky to catch two of them so what do you think when will they lay eggs ?

I caught one this year and after I put her in a founding formicarium rather than a test tube, she calmed down and immediately laid eggs.

She will lay eggs in the next week. But they will take a bit to become workers. 3 months. Ish

Nice formicarium but I got good news two of my queens had laid eggs and i am certain that on off them was fertilized :)

It's Camponotus, but C. pennsylvanicus is only found in Eastern North America.
