I have cought 2 queens, 1 with wings and one without wings.
I am 99% sure that does are lasius niger queens, but i want to be 100% sure.
i live in israel so the start of the flights are starting around 1 month before the flights of europe start.
can you tell me if that is a lasius niger queen? i want to be 100% sure and not 99% sure.
i took a picture only of the queen without the wings.

There are a number of Lasius sp in Israel but neither of them apper to be niger or neoniger. There is a useful document here. The pictures are not clear enough to allow a 100% identification.

Note that sites like these are not complete nor necessarily accurate
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Lasius neoniger do not live in Asia, Africa, Europe, or Australia. Only in North America.

Lasius neoniger and alienus queens look almost identical, yet L. alienus lives in Israel Asia, and L. neoniger does not.
