Possible queen ant (not sure) found in the CA

I am on the peninsula of California. I found it on the edge of a bucket of water and it didn't try to fly away (and hasn't tried to fly since). It is small, about 3 1/2 mm. The linked pictures are the best I could get, the little thing won't sit still for more than a 1/2 of a second so it took a while to get those.

It's likely a different insect similar to a solitary wasp since its antennae are not elbowed, it's definitely not a(n) (queen) ant.
Hibernating: (all)

Parasitic Lasius:2

Founding:
Tetramorium Immigrans:2

Colonies:
Tetramorium Immigrans:1
Formica Spp:3

I'm new to ant keeping so my colonies are all still in test tubes. :?

i second that
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Keeping Tetramorium immigrans, Tapinoma Sessile

I wasn't very sure to start out and wanted to be sure. I'm pretty new to the hobby so I've been catching anything that vaguely (barely) shows a resemblance to a alate. :P I know it's early in the year but I'm excited to start a colony of my own and I get ahead of myself. :D and thank you for your help/feedback

Yeah, I live near you and I found something similar to this about a week ago at night using a blacklight.
