It looks like it might be a Asian needle ant or Brachyponera chinensis, they are invasive species in the USA. But dont take my word for it, if you have a description of the size of workers i can compare them to some i have right next to me in a little cut that for some reason are Asian needle ants, what a coincidence!

Thanks for the help but I doubt its a asian needle ant... The queen ant I have currently doesn't have a stinger... her abdomen is more blunt and smoother looking.

I'm debating between Formica Fusca and Tapinoma Sessile... So Close! :mrgreen:
