Hey, I literally just found this queen while unpacking my bags, she was walking across my bags.
I don't know what she is and tbh I don't really know what to do with her as I font know if I need to feed her and me don't any keeping equipment.
I have a terrarium that I would like a colony to live but no test tubes etc. That I can get my hand on anytime soon.

For now, I have her in a small breathable container with soil so she can make a claustral cell. Is this ok?

Here she is:

I live in Tasmania, if that helps.

Either Camponotus / Iridomyrmex.

Ah I hadn't thought of Iridomyrmex. Is it ok to leave her in the container?
Also I know Camponotus doesn't need feeding but what about Iridomyrmex?

Iridomyrmex Is Fully-Claustral, Just Like Camponotus.
