Hey guys I'm relatively new to ant keeping. I have recently caught two Queen ants that I can't identify. They are both relatively 6-7mm in length and I'm in the east coast of the United states.

Crematogaster sp.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

No way for me to tell which ant I'm looking at.

To me, both look like Crematogaster Sp. They are the only species that size and shape flying at the time.
Check out my blog: bayareaants.blogspot.com
Keeper of:
Camponotus Modoc(6 workers)
Pheidole Spp (2 queens, about 10 workers)
Possibly parasitic Formica (further ID required)
Novomessor Cockerelli (10+ workers)
