I found her today (9/18/17) in south Louisiana. She was under a piece of rotting wood and some of her spiecies were being attacked by crematogaster workers, which leads me to believe she is a crematogaster queen. She is about 5 mm long.

Camponotus pennsylvanicus worker. Notice the small mesosma (thorax) without wing scars.
