i tried taking a few pics with both my professional cameras but their macro isnt close enough to get a good pic, those were taken with my phone, and hopefully in the next few weeks my macro len attachment that i ordered for a cheap price will be able to provide more details
Hopefully i didnt miss any details and i posted in the right place. THANKS!

Congratulations on that find. I love my Crematogaster colony, they dont sting or bite, but they are escape artists so make sure u use a good barrier. I line the top inch of my outworld with a thin layer of Vasaline and the pour lots of baby powder on that and shake or tap the extra of. I tried the alcohol and baby powder mixture but when it dries it just cracks and falls off. This works for me. I even got some insectaslip and they walked right over it lol my colony had their 1st nuptual flight this year. I moved the out world outside and most of them flew. It was fun to watch, there are still a few in the nest, mostly males. They were the last to eclose. Good luck with you queen.

since this is my first ant colony (that i managed to grow to the point the eggs grow), id like to ask you a few questions:
when do i move them out of the test tube?
what kind of formicarium should i use? ive read in wikipedia these ants usually live in trees.
at what point should i introduce an outworld and what size?
what do they like to eat?

I dont know the answers to your second and last questions, but I can answer the other two.
you should move them out of the tube when they reach 25-50 workers.
you introduce an outworld( doesn't matter the size. There is no such thing as "too big" of an outworld. in narture, they have an infinite outworld.) as soon as your first nantic arrives. place the test tube (with a 1 inch long piece of drinking straw rammed between the exit cotton and the side of the tube) in an outworld, and place food there.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

If u put the test tube in an outworld and *** SPAM *** outworld so its ready to connect to a formacarium they can forge for food and when u add the formacarium they will find it and move in on their own. I put my queens in an outworld as soon as the have a few workers.
