I have 2 tubes empty for air flow and later on feeding the early workers with cotton at the outside end and 2 tubes that are sealed at one end and cotton at the end inside the nest, just like a test tube would.

Looks to be hot glued in on one end, filled with water and cotton plugged just by the entrance to the chamber.

Nice find! Congrats!

Yeap, same hot glue I've been using with all my small critters for years, not toxic.

I am sad and happy that my first ant is carpenter and not pavement like I thought: they will grow slow and with hibernation it will take forever to see my first worker and give them a real nest but because they grow slow, it's giving me plenty of time to think and plan how I want to do their future nests and outword.
