Ant ID - Campanotus?

Ant ID - Campanotus?
Hi, caught a queen right now, she is quet big, around 1.2cm in length.
Mid sweden (northern europe)
Her gaster is not big... is she a paracidic species? Her head totally black, maybie campanotous?

These pictures are pretty shadowy. She is a Formica social parasite, from what I can tell. She will need Formica pupae if you wish to keep her.

Thanks for the info, but what in the pictures where shadowy?! I know I used a setting of f/6.1 I think, and thats why the whole ant is not in focus.... If you use a flash, you should be able to go to a much narrower aperture and at ~1/200 for a more broadly focused and better lit image. Also, diffusion helps image quality a lot when using a flash (or sunlight) for macro, which you can get by taping a coffee filter or something over the flash unit.

I just did not get what you ment with "shadowy" but now I get it!
