So I've always been fascinated by multi-queen ant species but I live in the UK and I'm relatively new to ant keeping and didn't really like the idea of keeping a species that isn't already here. (I'm fine with invasive species that have settled though!) Any ideas for a relatively easy to keep, polygynous species already in the UK?
All help appreciated, Thanks!
Polygynous species in the UK?

Re: Polygynous species in the UK?
I know Monomorium Pharaonis is a polygynous specie of ant. However the don't have nuptial flights because of this reason. Instead they create new colonies by budding. So it may be hard to find them. But you when you do find a colony, it shouldnt be too difficult to locate a queen of two.
Good luck!
