Hey guys, so yesterday I opened up a dead log and found a Camponotus queen. She is giant! About 3/4 of an inch and has light brown/orange legs. She also had with her some eggs, but she had not hatched any workers and started a colony yet. I collected her and placed her in my largest test tube set up. on The same day, I saw a weird looking ant run into another ant nest (that was not its own) and pull out a giant egg and some larvae. I then watched it pull it all the way to it's own nest. I was able to catch one and take some pictures and i measured it to be about 5-6 mm long. The first picture is the egg stealing ant and the second one is the large Camponotus queen that I can't identify. Can you guys help me identify both of these ants. Thanks.

The bottom ant looks like Camponotus herculeanus

Not in Georgia. C. herculeanus is more of a northern Canada species. C. chromaiodes though is much more likely.
The other looks like Aphaenogaster carolinensis.
