Queen no 1: Camponotus noveboracensis
Queen no 2: Tetramorium Caespitum
Queen no 3: ??Formica??
queen no 4: ??Also Formica??

But I am very sure about no 1 and no 2. Hope I helped!

Yes thank you! I had thought 3&4 looked similar but thought I should post separately in case. I'm new to ant keeping this year. Super excited about the tetramorium!

I have a very healthy happy colony of Tetramorium that occupy about 3/4 of a hybrid nest. They are indeed good pets, but I personally wish I could find anything other than Tetramorium where I live

Is it okay to have them in the containers they are in? I don't have any test tubes.

I would suggest you get some test tubes because it is the best way start a colony I'm also new and started this year and I have four queens who seem to be doing just fine 😉

It's better to have test tube but other containers will work fine just keep a moist cotton ball in the container.

The first queen is a Formica social parasite from the sanguinea group. She will need Formica pupae if you are going to keep her.

The other two Formica can't be identified to the species with the given photographs.
