Hello fellow ant keepers/lovers! I have just recently caught my first queen ant and am looking forward to raising her! However I am not certain on her species quite yet. If I had to guess, I'd say she is a member of the Camponotus species but I am no expert.
Some helpful details about her are listed below.
Time caught: around mid to late June.
Geographic location: central Wisconsin, USA.
Environment: I found her crawling along the floor in a grocery store backroom near a closed door.
Size: half inch.
Thank you all so much for you help! If you need more information I will gladly try to provide it.
I would attach pictures but every time I try, an error message saying "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." comes up.
