Hello, everyone. Today I found a new queen, I suspect she is a Formica queen. I have seen quite a few Formica worker ants with this coloration, which makes me suspect they are the same species. Thanks!

Do you have a picture of the front of the head (of the clypeus) and of the waist segment (petiolar scale, from the front, so we can see the shape of the "fan")?
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
