I have found many of these queens from April through July. They are about 10mm or 11mm. I suspect this is Camponotus but I'm not sure. I have 4 of this species and 1 already has live brood.

Agreed. Remember your measurements. they are imperative to an accurate ID.

Holy cow, looks just like the parasite formica I found, except with a gaster a bit bigger, and the head smaller.

I will try to get accurate measurements next time I check on my queens. I'm giving them 2 weeks because I just added 4 more.
