Minot Air Force Base, ND #4, and #5
Hello! I've found two more queen ants of the same species, and both are 5mm. I only took pictures of one. If you need any more pictures or details let me know. Thanks!!

Just an off topic question but how do I even post things like this? Like I just want to post something about this queen I found but I can't even find the button in which i can post my question. If you can help me about this please do!

What is its host species? Just any formica?Supereevee321 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2017 12:30 amCorrect me if I'm wrong but I believe it is of the Formica Rufa group (a social paracite), if it is you're going to need some larvae or callow workers of its host species to be able to raise it.

Click on a certain section (I for this clicked on Ant Keeping And Husbandry, then Ant Species Identification, then scroll down and at the bottom left corner it will say new topic. Here's a screenshot to help you.TavLeeRayTay wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2017 1:02 amJust an off topic question but how do I even post things like this? Not rufa-group. Something from the neogagates group (claustral). We would have to see hair coverage of the antennal scapes to narrow it down further.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
