I caught this queen just a minute ago just saving it from my dog.
Think it may be lasius niger but unsure
It is around 15-20mm in length and has red legs and a bit of its body is red

Formica cunicularia (also claustral). The UK is one of the few places where Camponotus is not native, although they do show up occasionally.
I take it that the measurement is a guess? You'll have to get used to actually measuring them for ID purposes.
