Hello AntsCanada forum. Its been a long time since I've been on here but I wanted to try and get some help identifying ants before I tried to list them on GAN. All ants were found in Northern Nevada in Reno.
So the first I caught Sept 26th of last year. I caught two of the same species of what I suspect are Formica lasiodes. They are both about 8-9mm long. They are completely black. The first picture is one of the queens Im hoping to list the second not great photo is of the queen Im keeping. I know the second photo isnt great I hoped it showed the abdomen better as the queen Im listing's wings covered much of it.

This second ant is a Carpenter ant I caught May 21st of this year. Shes about11-12 mm long. Her gaster is light brown in color and her abdomen is black.

This last queen I caught today(I actually managed to catch two). Shes 6-7 mm. Entirely black. I think shes Tetramorium sp. e by appearance and size but I could be wrong.

Thanks so much for any help.

The first two resemble Formica. That is one distended gaster!

I know! They are all laying like nuts. I mean. The Formica are both almost a year old. Neither produced last year, and have only began having workers exclose in the last two months. And the one I thought was Camponotus has already laid a cluster of brood(her gastor is super full). Even the Tetramorium already have eggs.

Oh and I believe the 3rd queen is Camponotus americanus.

I finally IDed the Carpenter ant as Camponotus vicinus and the Formica as Formica lasiodes.

Camponotus vicinus would be larger than 12mm with a gaster that full. I'm afraid these pictures are too dark to be much help identifying beyond the genus. Except for the Tetramorium immigrans (no other options).
