I was digging a fire pit in Maryland when I found not one but two young colonies and decided to snatch them. One was a C. pennsylvanicus and the other was one that I had never seen before with two queens. It was around 60F
The queens are 1cm and are orangish is color. The workers look like they have two bumps between the head and the gaster and they move in short jerky movements.
Tell me if you need a better picture.
Thanks
