Today around 4:30 i was outside wondering around looking at some trails between 6 different colonys that
(believe that they were solenopsis invicta) were together. And what did i find walking on the outskits of
the trail? This Queen :

Picture One : http://prntscr.com/ezqb3i
Picture Two : http://prntscr.com/ezqb9q
Picture Three : http://prntscr.com/ezqbci

Today was cloudy and sprinkle twice but did not make the ground very wet. I'm Wondering, Could this queen
Be apart of the other colonys? And Also something else, i used up all my test tubes (Old tubes for paint balls,
don't worry i cleaned them out good) and i do not know what else to use so is this good?

Picture : http://prntscr.com/ezqctx
(as you can see the queen is already in there)
The container is a small grey Flick Trix container for parts.

Also i already know its not semi claustral

I'd say that's way too big for her. And also if your test tubes are cleaned out why don't you just use them?

By cleaned up i mean that i clean the tubes out for the other queens. Also can you ID the queen?

Oh yeah that container is definitely way too big. And don't worry I'm sure you'll get and ID in the next 12 hours or less I'm sure LOL. She is pretty though. Kind of looks like a Solenopsis sp. but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Not to be rude, but I need better pictures. It is not possible to make an accurate ID off of a queen curled up in a corner like that.

Also give measurements. In millimeters, preferably.

Yeah she is a Solenopsis Sp, But she is about 5 - 7 MM. She does hide under the moist cotton balls that should make up for the extra space.

The third photo is the only good one. She's Solenopsis invicta, I believe.

Queens range in size. Provide better pictures and an accurate ID can be made.
