I was in the process of finding termites for Aphaenogaster colony when I stumbled upon her. I didn't know there was a species in my area this pretty. Maybe you can find a different species that's just as pretty in the UK. I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks, I plan on going out hunting this year to see what I can find
I have two Lasius niger colonies right now obtained through the GAN project but I definitely want to see what else is out there. I'll probably keep a Lasius flavus if I find any but who knows what the hunt may bring :)

Right. I plan on the same as well. I have plenty of space and wanna acquire numerous species. I have 2 species at the top of my list and the rest will be just because :D. I wish the weather would stabilize so they will start flying already. I have yet to see a GAN farmer in my area so I may try to do that as well, pending on how many I catch in the end.

I plan on catching as many as I can, I'll probably shift as many as possible through the GAN Project but knowing myself I'll probably end up keeping most of them.
I might need to buy a bigger house lol

Very true
I need to make some sort of test tube rack

The AntsCanada ones look great but are a little to pricey to house large quantities

That they are. I was lucky enough to squire some scratch and dent test tube racks from here actually for a lot cheaper.(you will find the topic in the AntsCanada Announcements, Contests, Promos, Events tab). I have 2 of them. I have seen some people have made from cardboard and stuff though and wouldn't be hard to replicate at all.
