I found this ant on March 10 in Rhode Island please identify.

Looks like a male to me, given the pointy tip of its end.
Don't take my word for it though.

Too big to be a Prenolepis imparis male. This is Camponotus.

alright. I know there are early flying Camponotus, but this is ridiculous.
