ID Help for a total newbie from Florida

Hi All,
This is my first post so hopefully I do everything the way it is supposed to.
I just started to get interesting in antkeeping and have been working on getting everything planned out with tubes and how to progress from there. Watching a ton of videos on how to properly take care of ants.
I caught a couple of workers on my front porch because they are always there and will give me a queen at some point in the future (I hope).

Caught on the concrete of my front porch, but they might come from the dirt of my flowerbed just below it, not sure.
They are about 4-5 mm (just shy of a 1/4") from head to bottom.
The Head is a dark brown and so is the Thorax.
The Gaster is a lot darker, almost black.
The head is shaped like a keystone, getting wider toward the Thorax.
The Thorax is skinnier than the Head, but a little longer.
The Gaster is the largest part, larger than the Head and the Thorax.
There seems to be some side to side banding on the Gaster.

It species might be obvious to you all, but I looked at common South Florida Ants and could not find a convincing match.
Hopefully someone can help.

The best I came up with so far is Camponotus Planatus.
Mine looks like a carpenter ant but is definitely not as large as a floridanus or a tortuganus.
The Camponotus Planatus (Compact Carpenter) is becoming more widespread in South Florida recently.
What do you all think?
