Hello,
I just caught a queen ant this afternoon, I was wondering what species is it. The queen's color is red, black, and brown. Thank you for any help! :D

Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?

You can email me about ants at Tucker.reynolds13@gmail.com

Nope, it is not that bright and not that large. By the way, I think she layed eggs.

Size: Around 3 mm
When: 10/1 around three o'clock in the afternoon.
Where: In my back yard ( on the pavement )
Appearance: reddish body with blackish gaster
Behavior: I gave her some honey and she drank it. She likes to sleep on the cotton ball blocking the water.
( I don't know how to upload a picture. And the video on how to post pictures says its private. So, I can't watch it.)

I have been keeping ants since July 2023, I found Queenie (kids named her) in New York. I'm assuming she hibernates since she was found in New York I just don't know what species they are. Currently, I have about 20 workers and a lot of brood. Since winter is approaching, I am curious to know what species I have been keeping.

You'll have to use Google Photos.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
