Black queens found in Denver, Colorado - please help

Hi, I am brand new to ant keeping and excited to get started. Over June and July I collected 4 queens around my neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. All four look identical and I could really use some help confirming the species. Thank you in advance for your expertise!

Size: 5-6mm
When: All found around midday (11am-2pm); two queens in June and two queens in early July
Where: One queen found in my house (!), another at a local playground, two more at a local campsite (~30 min drive from Denver)
Appearance: All over black coloration. I can't see any hairs or unique distinguishing marks
Behaviour: All were agitated initially but settled down quickly and laid eggs within the first few days. If I take the foil off the tube to feed them, they usually take a couple minutes before approaching the honey. Definitely light adverse.
Picture(s):
Two are attached from today during feeding. All the queens have 6-10 eggs, and the one I collected in early June has a few larvae.
