Brown/Yellow queen

Size: not sure? - 5-8mm?
When: 7/17/23 - Around 9-10 AM
Where: I actually found her inside my office building, but it is located near a wooded area near a river. The exact location is 39.467475249955854, -76.23643030011021 in Belcamp, Maryland. I also found what I believe was a male because it had wings as well and was a tad smaller. I captured them both and the "male" died very shortly after.
Appearance:
Behaviour: She either wanders around or she "lays" on her side. She also seems to clean herself a lot.
Picture(s): https://photos.app.goo.gl/sY3fv94vvWULQDZK9
Additionally: I also found what I believe was a male because it had wings as well and was a tad smaller. I captured them both and the "male" died very shortly after. I don't think she is fertilized because her wings didn't fall off and she is almost frantically running around the container I have her in but she hasn't tried to fly away.

Could you get a picture from a different angle?
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Unfortunately, it looks like she died. I suspect her nuptial flight was the night before and she may have come into contact with pesticides when she snuck into the office building. I found a bunch of males there again this morning. I might go back out there in the evening the next few nights and see if I can get another queen.

I did a lot of Google image searching and it looks like it might have been Pheidole tysoni. Based on the color and the spots on the wings. I don't know enough about ants to identify shapes of any body parts. I couldn't find very much information on this species other than they seem to be very reclusive.

Here are some pics of the dead queen with the males I captured today. Unfortunately, all I have is a cell phone camera and it gets blurry when you start to zoom in tight.

A plain, flat background seems to get better quality on the pictures.

Thanks for the ID. I haven't been able to find another queen of this species.
