i think i found my first queen ants. sadly one of them died on the way home. i just have pictures of the dead one because my hands are to shaky to make good pics. but i found them like 5m apart and they look the same.

Size: 8-9mm
When: 4:10 pm, July 5 2023
Where: Switzerland, Zug - found them on the street in the city
Appearance: dark brown/black with brown shimmering gaster
Behaviour: very calm

Either Formica fusca or Lasius niger.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
