Mate you have some balls to be collecting those bull ant workers, you'll know it when they get a hold of you!

Also the two queens that you have I also have and I was wondering what they were!

Both had their nuptial flights during the same week and I caught 2 of each species.

I had no idea what your queen 1 was however I though they may have been pavement ants and I mixed the two queens which luckily for me worked out as they are both happily taking care of a massive amount of brood.

Your queen 2 I think is a Meat Ant queen, which are very common in Australia.

You need to make an ID request if you want to take a shot at identifying your queens. There is a lot of confusion between dolichoderines like Iridomyrmex (meat ants) / Odontomachus, and formicines like Nylanderia / Prolasius.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

You must always include a measurement in mm!
