queen ID!

i just got this queen ant but dont know the species do i haft to feed it befor i put her away! becouse i know some queen scavage for food befor they hide. found in sweden today! Image Image

Not sure of the species, but she looks semi claustral.

so what should i feed her and should i have her in a test tube or a small box?

I think that you have a major Camponotus worker.

no its to 100% a queen or some how a worker that had wings!

It's definitely a queen. I think it's Camponotus, but I have no idea what species.

but if it is semi claustral how should i care for it should i put the test tube in a box and feed her honey and flies or?

This is a Formica social parasite queen, from either the sanguinea or rufa group. A good picture of the front of the head will tell that much at least.

She will need Formica pupae from another colony if you want to keep her. Unlike single Lasius social parasites, Formica will open cocoons.

In my experience with Formica social parasites, the queens will only take care of 6-8 pupae, abandoning the rest to mold.

can you link what formica queen egg i should get!
