Looks like Camponotus pennsylvanicus to me.

If it is about two inch long, then it is defiantly camponotus pennsylvanicus.

She’s only about 3/4” to 1” long. Currently she has about 5 larvae (?).

Thanks for the clarification! I was wondering if it was supposed to say cm... I think a 2” ant would have scared me too much to pick up! LOL
