Ok while smoking a cig i saw a bird land and start eating bugs off the ground and got curious and in glad I did. It seems the bird was eating queen ants running around. So here are some pics, tell me what you think. For sure too small to be solenopisis, tetramorium? About 1/4" (6 mm). Sorry at work and can't get better photos.
