Ant keepers from southwestern ontario
As a newbie to the MacGregor community I would love to know if any events are planned for Lake Ontario this year?

Ottawa here. New to the hobby but already 6 founding colonies, 4 Camponotus Novaeboracensis and 2 Lasius sp. Smallest colony has 9 workers, largest has 16.
Was hoping to trade one of the Camponutus for another new species so that I have more variety, but with hibernation season just around the corner I guess it would be pointless until the spring.
Would like to meetup with any other locals here or possibly in Montreal which I visit often.

Re: Ant keepers from southwestern ontario
Took 3 of my foundling colonies out of hibernation. All ants survived.
My Camponotus Novae are very active, have been laying lots of eggs and the existing brood growing fast. My Lasius Neoniger colony seems very lethargic though. Only took then out 5 days ago some maybe that is the reason (I Hope).
Still 2 colonies in hibernation.
Anyone else end hibernation?

Ottawa as well
I have 10 queens in various stages of founding and they're all awake and hungry.
2x Camponotus novaeboracensis
3x Formica fusa (very sensitive to light)
2x tetrimorium e. I think
And 3x small black queens I caught at the end of the season last year. No I'd yet
