Could it be possible to incorporate a draw into an outworld that could be used to put food and water/sugar water on cotton or small droplets. The draw pulls from outside the outworld but blocks escape when opened and closed.

This would lessen the need to open the outword lid, reducing the chance of ants escaping or bites and stings from the ants.
