Raising feeders
Hello everyone,
I was scrolling through the posts and saw one on feeders, which reminded me of some stuff. I could swear that I saw a video (I think from AntsCanada) on YouTube on raising different feeder insects, but I can’t seem to find it now.
If someone knows of a good video, or just knows how to raise cultures of fruit flies, crickets, mealworms, etc. that would be great! It would be awesome if someone could give me a summary or something!
Thanks,
Idahoantguy

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Re: Raising feeders
If you want a nutritious and fool-proof food for ants, go with Drosophila flies. The downside is that cleaning out the old cultures can be pretty gross, but even the pickiest colonies seem to like em'.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
