My family tends to have extra food we don't want. I was wondering if it's safe to feed ants leftovers?

Leftover chicken. The hamburger my sister didn't eat. The meatballs no one finishes. The giant east bunny chocolate we can't possibly finish.

Think It Depends On Quantity / Quality Of It, And The Colony's Diet / Preferences.
