Are pill bugs a good food source for a camponotus in it's founding stage? I know I could feed them crickets but I don't have any right now and there are tons of pill bugs around my house.

I fed a pill bug to my Myrmica queen and she kind of ate it, but it wasn't her favorite. Also when I pre-killed the pill bug i noticed it was mostly just shell and not a lot of guts. Does your queen have nanatics or workers? If not you do not need to feed her because Camponotus are fully claustral.

Camponotus usually prefer small to medium-sized spiders. Spiders are around everywhere and rather easy to catch, doesn't matter if it's the webby ones or the jumpy ones. Just put them into the freezer for a few hours.

Spiders are actually the only food my Camponotus barbarcius queen eats herself (usually she gets fed by the workers).
