Yesterday I caught a queen in an already existing nest, I believe she is a Myrmica sp. (see my previous post for full story. http://forum.AntsCanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3481&p=22648#p22648 ) She is in a test tube setup with two workers and at least 5 eggs. Should I feed her now? Or would that stress her out? I have a test tube portal so feeding would be easy.
Also, should I go back to the original colony and get more workers? (Or maybe even queens?)
Should I feed my wild caught colony?

Yes, to all of it.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
