Can ants eat alive bugs?

Hi! Can ants eat alive bugs rather than served dead? I need to know before I can feed them any.

They will have to kill the bug first in order to eat it. It is preferred to give them dead insects to eat because sometimes if the alive insect is strong it can put up a good fight and actually harm alot of the ants that were trying to kill it

Also can I feed them peanut butter? I searched it up, and it said that it has most nutrients that ants need.

Yeah you can give them that. You can try with alot of things and see what they will eat because ants can be picky eaters. Try feeding them different fruits and nuts and see which one they like the most.
