pavement ant colony not eating honey
Hi, I am a beginner with a pavement ant colony. My colony has about 15 ants. I try to feed them meat and honey, but it looks like they are only interested in the meat. I tried jelly, chocolate, and peanut butter, but they weren't interested. They just like the meat. Is this normal? It has been a month or more since the first worker.

The queen and the workers need the protein the most, give them a little carb amount like 1 time a week. For the meet just keep giving them it every time they finish the last.
Once they do the same thing with the carbs.
The colony knows what it need so supply both if they are interested or decrease if they aren’t.
The colony changes its feeding habits often.

Why don’t more people like ants?
