Hey!

So I was wondering how you fit seeds into a Harvester Ants diet? Does it replace something or do you just fit it in with the usual sugar and protein?

You can fit it in, though they can process seeds as a substitute.

Harvester ants usually don't take sugar unless they're really low on energy or water. They get their sugars from the seeds. Seeds also contain protein but an additional protein source is often required.

Ok, got it. A little bit of sugar, seeds, and some protein. I don't actually have an ant colony yet, but harvester ants seem like a good choice. Thanks!
