What are the quantities of water and sugar in sugar water?

10 parts water to 1 part sugar is a good ratio. That is what I use for my Formica ants and they drink it up. I estimate as best as I can when mixing it. It helps to use warm water, which accelerates the sugar dissolving.

Apparently table sugar doesn't have everything ants prefer.
