What kind of feeder insect should I feed my ants?

I'm just curious because theres a lot to choose from to roaches.crickets and worms I don't know what to pick.
or can i feed them only fruits and honey?

You can't only give them food with sugar in it, the larvae need protein to grow. Mealworms are the easiest, but ant don't always like them and they can't drag them into the best. Flies are almost always accepted, but they sometimes carry mites with them. The same can be said about crickets, but I've noticed that they don't like them always either and they have a little more trouble taking them down. I don't know the size of you're colony, but if they are small it's best to give them fruit flies. Oh and I don't have any experience with roaches.

Roaches are definitely the easiest to keep. ;) Also very rich in protein. I'm feeding my ants meal worms currently but will get some roaches when they are in sale.
