Soon after the first one or two workers darken, or when they start tugging on the cotton; whichever comes first.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

Make sure the outworld is small because a small colony doesnt need much space put things in the outworld like drops of honey and roach legs or anything small like a dead baby fly dont put them in an outworld until the ant Workers are atleast 5 to 7 says old and signs that they are ready to forage food is if they are running arround restlessly or bitting the cotton ball thats how you know there ready to be in a outworld and the test tube will be there best until the colony is about 15 or 20 or 30 ants in size then you can move them to a nest and a bigger outworld and possibly bigger food portions Mayby live food hope what i said helped
