There are around 10 ants in the hybrid nest, the species is lasius niger. In the mini outworld there is honey

Looks good, probably a little big for your colony at this point.
They would probably be good in the 4 way and two test tubes.

I've done that, but the ant queen would rather nest in the mini outworld (exposed)
than in a dark testube connected to it

If thats what makes her happy.
I would leave her the option to move.
I have a queen who would rather be an outworld as well.

I often wonder if there is something she is trying to get away from, but I have tried changing out the tubes and she just stays in the outworld. It makes it more challenging to feed them. When I open the top she runs into the tube but comes back to outworld a few minutes later.
