I am thinking of connecting my ant nest to a empty room in hopes that they will poo there instead in the outworld

first of all why would you like ant poop in your nest where i can't be cleaned.
second most likely not, the ant decide the best place for the bathroom ant they might know more than you in that subject :lol: :D .
