I can’t get my honeypot ants to move in to a new setup!

I recently bought a new setup for my honeypots, (Myrmecocystus Mexicanus) and have attached a vinyl tube to the setup, joining it and the old one, AND I have shined a bright light on them for a few hours, yet not even one worker has gone into the setup. I live in a temperate area, so I don’t think I have to winter them. Any Ideas would be very helpful.

Living in a temperate region means that you experience all your seasons. You have realatively hot summers and relatively cold winters. That means you DO hibernate them. I bet that's why they haven't been moving. They are slowing down. Won't be interested in moving or eating.
